This is such a basic element of good service totally ignored
Waiter you open the door and you greet diners first
A couple behind us saw the marvellous welcome and decided not to bother
Don’t worry aromata , winter will catch up with you !

The menu is relatively small with a variety of burgers to choose from and one hotdog option. Various types of fries are available too. The starters - Cheeseburger Bite things and the Fish & Chips were lovely, the fish and chip 'small bite' was huge and could have passed as a normal meal.

The burgers are well proportion and suitably messy to eat - tasted delicious and of good quality.

In terms of negatives, it's such a shame the location is so bland - you are just on a random backstreet with no real view, I was sat imagining if Juicy Lucy was a beach bar/restaurant it would be absolutely amazing. It just lacks and ambience. Shame.

BUT - if you want good quality American style food you can't go far wrong.

Recommended.

We had ordered a large variety of dishes, ranging from papodoms to vegetarian main courses to lamb dishes and desserts. Might I say the entire experience of dining there was just perfect! The staff there was incredibly kind and patient, and they were ready to clear all our questions and generously carry out our specific requests and adjustments for dishes. The food came just in time and was served fresh and piping hot. The food tasted authentic and was definitely more unique and less generic than other indian restaurants. We all really enjoyed ourselves, and we found this establishment to be amongst the best indian restaurants we've ever been to in Europe. The hospitality of the staff there was again unparalleled

  This was our second time at Merchants, we visited here last year when there was a break in lockdown and at that time Palma was really quiet. Our first experiance... read more wasn't the best, when we arrived we were taken to a table and then moved almost immediately. We then ended up waiting nearly an hour to be served.

This time, i have to say everything was perfect. We were seated outside in the courtyard area and the sun was just setting, so it was perfect. The food was the best part though. I had oysters which came with an amazing chilli and of course tobasco additions.... then i had the lobster roll which was amazing. My wife went for the prawn tempura which was possibly the best we'd had and she also had steak which was cooked perfect.... Finally the waitresses that served us were great, always on hand and really friendly and chatty.

We come to Palma on average 2 to 3 times a year and we will definitely be returning.

  Palma food at its best - Excellent food and excellent cheerful welcoming service in a small very popular restaurant where essential to book. The gazpacho is a must have!
